    • Rocks and Reservoir Rocks: Igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks and the rock cycle.

    • Oil traps and seals: Faults. Fractures: what they are and what distinguishes them.

    • Geological mapping and contour concepts

    • Reservoir properties: Porosity, Permeability, Saturation, Netgross, Netpay.

    • Introduction to logs and different types of logs.

    • Estimating porosity, water saturation, lithology and hydrocarbons: Sonic, Density, Gamma

    • Determining a rapid qualitative interpretation for a possible zone of interest.

    • Introduction to seismic interpretation

    • Fault interpretation
