Natural gas is a mixture of various hydrocarbons, essentially methane, but also smaller amounts of other hydrocarbons such as ethane, propane, butane, and pentane. and other impurities. The primary goal of natural gas processing is to separate these impurities and non-methane hydrocarbons to produce pipeline-quality dry natural gas. This course will present the basics of natural gas processing operations, transport by pipeline and LNG, and the presentation of technical, supply, economic and market aspects of Natural Gas transportation by pipeline and LNG.
